Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Venezuela's Tomas Illescas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 3rd minute of play forced FC Ruh Lviv's goalkeeper Marcelo Barovero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 4 minutes into the match, Patricio Costa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcelo Barovero. FC Ruh Lviv's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Patricio Costa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 12 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Pylyp Vitvitskyi came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute, Chumo Palmero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Ruh Lviv fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Marcelo Barovero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 16th minute of the match. A nice corner shot did that Tomas Illescas got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marcelo Barovero quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Myroslav Akymenko who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Jonathan Ferrant when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Myroslav Akymenko tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the FC Ruh Lviv defense, Patricio Costa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcelo Barovero. The FC Ruh Lviv fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcelo Barovero should have stopped the shot. Marcelo Barovero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 34 minutes of play, FC Ruh Lviv's Chumo Palmero made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, FC Ruh Lviv's Chumo Palmero got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 38th minute Patricio Costa suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Orest Maklakov fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Ruh Lviv's protests and gave Orest Maklakov a yellow card for diving instead. Venezuela's Roberto Ocampo was substituted for Patricio Costa. Orest Maklakov hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After 43 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. FC Ruh Lviv's Chumo Palmero got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chumo Palmero in the 48th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Venezuela fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 47th minute. Penalty! The referee gave FC Ruh Lviv a penalty, 50 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Vyacheslav Androsenko, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. 3-2. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chumo Palmero to make the kick off. The throw-in from Guillermo Mariano in the 66th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by FC Ruh Lviv's Chumo Palmero. The supporters of Venezuela booed when FC Ruh Lviv was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vyacheslav Androsenko didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Ruh Lviv's goalkeeper Marcelo Barovero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Venezuela's Marcelo Barovero threw himself towards the right post 75 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Roberto Ocampo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 81 minutes into the match, FC Ruh Lviv's Vyacheslav Androsenko sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 83 minutes of play, FC Ruh Lviv's Chumo Palmero made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 89th minute Chumo Palmero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chumo Palmero in the 91st minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Venezuela players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC Ruh Lviv.
