Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Pascal Ohlmann kicked off to start the match. Moïse Quenet could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. In the 8th minute, Gregorio Laurentzi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabien Barthez having to interfere. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Gregorio Laurentzi tried to sneak it across the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Aziz Merlet threw the ball into play from the sideline. Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 26th minute, Tomas Illescas made a precise shot to the right of Fabien Barthez. Algrange's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Rigoberto Mina hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Isaiah Simmons kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Rigoberto Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pascal Ohlmann in the 53rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pascal Ohlmann in the 57th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Algrange's Nikša Debeljuh was substituted for Isaiah Simmons. Algrange's Johnny Camus was substituted for Pascal Ohlmann. Algrange made a substitution. Nicolas Renoult replaced Alexis Favre. The supporters of Algrange booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute Edmondo Antonangeli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Algrange's goalkeeper Fabien Barthez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. Tomas Illescas charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomas Illescas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tomas Illescas kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rigoberto Mina during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rigoberto Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Algrange's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. In the 75th minute Reynald Bruchon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Joshua Secada managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Joshua Secada was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabien Barthez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Guillermo Mariano charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guillermo Mariano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 81st minute, Guillermo Mariano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Edmondo Antonangeli came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Algrange fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmondo Antonangeli couldn't finish the play. Algrange's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
