The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Oscar Frascuelo in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 18th minute, Felix Montenegro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nesor Abadie in the 27th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oscar Frascuelo made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mihai Gherase in the 31st minute of the match. After 31 minutes of play, Octavia's Mihai Gherase made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nesor Abadie in the 35th minute of play. Felix Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, Octavia's goalkeeper Oscar Frascuelo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Oscar Frascuelo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Ecuador players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Octavia were winning 0-2.

A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Agustín Saelices hit a great ball. Nesor Abadie hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Oscar Frascuelo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 59th minute of the match. Oscar Frascuelo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Zorita's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 76th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Frascuelo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihai Gherase in the 79th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iordanis Anastasiadis in the 83rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Julio Vera, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 85 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Mihai Gherase came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iordanis Anastasiadis in the 89th minute. After 95 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Oscar Frascuelo was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the final whistle went the supporters of Octavia were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Ecuador side.
