The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Andrzej Zuraw kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. 15 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Andrzej Zuraw came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Urbano Vimaro in the 21st minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Andrzej Zuraw went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jaroslaw Zjawin was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaroslaw Zjawin having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Sails Stitinum's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jaroslaw Zjawin came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert got a free kick in the 56th minute. After having played for 60 minutes, Andrzej Zuraw managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sails Stitinum's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andrzej Zuraw was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Urbano Vimaro in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Andrzej Zuraw went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. Sails Stitinum made a substitution. Bartlomiej Sokolski replaced Tolek Nienajadlo. After 74 minutes, Urbano Vimaro made it 9-0 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
