After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Bror Hanmark managed to get in a good position for a shot. BK Nerysminne's supporters rose to their feet, but Bror Hanmark was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 19th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Betinho Arantes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Bror Hanmark fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BK Nerysminne's protests and gave Bror Hanmark a yellow card for diving instead. After 20 played minutes BK Nerysminne got a freekick which was hit by Bror Hanmark. BK Nerysminne's Betinho Arantes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 24th minute of play. Ecuador's Luis Andino got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bror Hanmark sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bror Hanmark in the 79th minute of play. In the 80th minute BK Nerysminne were awarded a corner. Hector Levi went to the cornerflag to take it. 80 minutes into the game, one of Ecuador:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ecuador:s Julio Vera showed great skill when he stopped Hector Levi:s penalty. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Bror Hanmark managed to get in a good position for a shot.
