Stein Spoelberch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 7 minutes into the game, Venezuela's Patricio Costa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stein Spoelberch made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. When Nickolas Gielens came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Club Brugge fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nickolas Gielens couldn't finish the play. 16 minutes into the game, King Eken cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 孔磊傲 in the 19th minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Club Brugge's goalkeeper Stein Spoelberch had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 孔磊傲, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pieter Van Landewijck made in the 35th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Venezuela's Jose Correa. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 孔磊傲 in the 40th minute of play. If 孔磊傲 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gunter Mesmaekers during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stein Spoelberch read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Guillermo Mariano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Tomas Illescas hit a great ball. 63 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Club Brugge's Stein Spoelberch. Stein Spoelberch was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 孔磊傲 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 孔磊傲 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stein Spoelberch read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. In the 73rd minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. Club Brugge's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. When Diederik Temmerman came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Club Brugge fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diederik Temmerman couldn't finish the play. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomas Illescas took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stein Spoelberch. Stein Spoelberch dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. In the 91st minute, Club Brugge's Jan-Simon Elsen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-2. Jan-Simon Elsen succeeded in the game's 94th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-3.
