After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Antonio Arias got a free kick in the 4th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Boleslaw Polakowski managed to get in a good position for a shot. KKP Spasione Kocury's supporters rose to their feet, but Boleslaw Polakowski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lech Rosen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 10th minute of play. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lech Rosen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Andrzej Awizo's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Felix Montenegro almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but KKP Spasione Kocury's Lech Rosen did a great save. 32 minutes into the match, KKP Spasione Kocury's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Lech Rosen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Luis Andino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Boleslaw Polakowski to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 51st minute of play forced KKP Spasione Kocury's goalkeeper Lech Rosen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of KKP Spasione Kocury booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustín Saelices didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 54th minute, Juliusz Makomaski sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ecuador's Julio Vera didn't even have to move. When Juan Sebastián Puig fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. KKP Spasione Kocury were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Juliusz Makomaski took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Andrzej Awizo heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Beniamin Jakubiak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
