The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, ALTAY MYTHS's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Cüneyt Baba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Sancho scored 0-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cüneyt Baba, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 9th minute of the match, İbrahim Akın tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julio Vera saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İbrahim Akın, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 14 minutes of play, Ecuador's Luis Andino made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cüneyt Baba was left in no man's land by his defense there! ALTAY MYTHS's İbrahim Akın got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Saffet Maksum sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Luis Andino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cüneyt Baba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mahsun Şahinalp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Primitivo Andino got a free kick in the 27th minute. Saffet Maksum could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. ALTAY MYTHS's Cüneyt Baba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 30th minute of play. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Cüneyt Baba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 35th minute of play forced ALTAY MYTHS's goalkeeper Cüneyt Baba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the match, ALTAY MYTHS's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Cüneyt Baba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, ALTAY MYTHS's Julio Vera threw himself towards the right post 40 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from İbrahim Akın, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 42nd minute of play forced ALTAY MYTHS's goalkeeper Cüneyt Baba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mahsun Şahinalp hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Saffet Maksum to make the kick off. Saffet Maksum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Saffet Maksum received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of ALTAY MYTHS booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball.
