That made the score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Belarmino Viejo got free with Pedro Manzanares in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 13 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Polonia's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Montenegro came free, but Angelino Barba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute Axel Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelino Barba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Axel Montenegro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Angelino Barba was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 26th minute of the match Club Deportivo Polonia got a corner. Colombia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. García Ramos ran over to the corner to take the kick. Santino Seco tried in the game's 26th match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Pedro Manzanares. An annoying self made goal, 2-2. With an all-out effort, Club Deportivo Polonia's Pedro Manzanares threw himself towards the right post 31 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Aquilino Velazquez, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 33 minutes Colombia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was García Ramos who took care of the corner kick. Club Deportivo Polonia's García Ramos was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Pedro Manzanares in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 36th minute, Aquilino Velazquez fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Pedro Manzanares, passed just outside the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aquilino Velazquez in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Manzanares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With an all-out effort, Club Deportivo Polonia's Pedro Manzanares threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Belarmino Viejo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Club Deportivo Polonia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by García Ramos in the 46th minute. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Álvaro Carmona got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 3-2. 47 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Pedro Manzanares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Belarmino Viejo went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. In the 59th minute Axel Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelino Barba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Aquilino Velazquez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Manzanares was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. In the 64th minute, Belarmino Viejo made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2. In the 67th minute Belarmino Viejo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, Belarmino Viejo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Belarmino Viejo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-2. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. Club Deportivo Polonia's Angelino Barba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignacio Mastache in the 74th minute of play. In the 75th minute Ignacio Mastache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelino Barba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angelino Barba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevin Mastache, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Belarmino Viejo in the 79th minute of the match. After 81 minutes of play, Club Deportivo Polonia's Maurino Esperta made it 7-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Manzanares was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Club Deportivo Polonia fans' excitement grew in the 87th match minute when Club Deportivo Polonia's Aquilino Velazquez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 8-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 91st minute, Aquilino Velazquez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Deportivo Polonia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-2. Club Deportivo Polonia were awarded a corner in the 96th minute after Colombia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. García Ramos took the corner. Colombia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
