The audience thought a goal was coming when Oswaldo Matos got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 9th minute, Felipe Ros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. TRAKINAS FC's Remo de Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 13th minute of play. Remo de Toledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 16th minute of the match. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charles Oliveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Remo de Toledo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Berganza's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Remo de Toledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abraham Alguacil in the 21st minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Reinaldo Alagoano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reinaldo Alagoano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Leonel Paranaense kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Tomas Berganza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Tomas Berganza took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Remo de Toledo. Remo de Toledo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Berganza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Remo de Toledo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Leonel Paranaense fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored TRAKINAS FC's protests and gave Leonel Paranaense a yellow card for diving instead. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remo de Toledo having to interfere. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Remo de Toledo stood somewhat misplaced when Tomas Berganza came free in front of goal and shot 1-5 to the left of him in the 90 minute. If Miguel Miralles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 95th minute of play forced TRAKINAS FC's goalkeeper Remo de Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Panama walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
