The supporters of Panama booed when Bukan Beruang Madu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nasrul Sanusi didn't get a good kick on the ball. The coaching staff of Panama protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Alex Cambeiro had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 43 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hisar Sahetappy. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rizal Limbong stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A wasted opportunity for Panama. 64 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Welly Herawan came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Panama would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
