In the 32nd match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Ocampo to maneuver through the defense. 马卫烨 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 37 minutes into the match, Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by 马卫烨. Ivan Navarro hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute, 马卫烨 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lautaro Navarro was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Edmundo Espiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 马卫烨, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in 天涯海角's zone, Edmundo Espiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. 郑迅城 came out of the goal and Edmundo Espiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 94 played minutes 天涯海角 got a freekick which was hit by 崔海国. Honduras's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because 天涯海角 had won, even though Honduras had held more of the ball.
