A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Joshua Curbelo hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in El Salvador's zone, Isidro Amos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Zorita came out of the goal and Isidro Amos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 26 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Noel Bullard came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mila Doce's supporters rose to their feet, but Noel Bullard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Zorita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Mila Doce were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Lionel Cronin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ricardo Zorita having to make a save. Neil Dougherty could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Ricardo Zorita made a huge save. 70 minutes into the match, El Salvador's Moises Fernandino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Duncan Fielden narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 71st minute Neil Dougherty shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. El Salvador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lionel Cronin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. After having played for 80 minutes, Fabian Burroughs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mila Doce's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabian Burroughs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Lionel Cronin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 姚平沙 scored 0-5 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricardo Zorita, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lionel Cronin in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ricardo Zorita saved El Salvador from getting behind. 姚平沙 took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. Lorenzo Yepes hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidro Amos in the 96th minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle sounded Mila Doce left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than El Salvador.
