The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. Efrain Moruga hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Napoleon Fronczak in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Miroslaw Wojno got in the 38th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Benito Sanz handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. The Costa Rica players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Zalesie Górne were winning 0-3.

The wind increased when Napoleon Fronczak made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Alan Moruga hit a great ball. 52 minutes into the game, Hugo Ferrant was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Zalesie Górne the free kick. The supporters of FC Zalesie Górne booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Ferrant didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 54th minute, Miroslaw Wojno reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benito Sanz. The goal made the score 0-4. Kazimierz Czekaj stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Axel Tasis's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. FC Zalesie Górne's Lech Waldoch quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Hugo Ferrant, made in the 58th minute of the game. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Napoleon Fronczak in the 59th minute of the match. In the 64th minute Napoleon Fronczak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes into the game, Napoleon Fronczak recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benito Sanz. Napoleon Fronczak showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. 0-6 became the score in the 72nd minute when Miroslaw Wojno elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 77 played minutes FC Zalesie Górne got a freekick which was hit by Kajetan Setara. After 78 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Moruga. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Napoleon Fronczak kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. Miroslaw Wojnos short, quick shot in the 84thth minute got Benito Sanz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Miroslaw Wojno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miroslaw Wojno, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Miroslaw Wojno blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. Miroslaw Wojno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. FC Zalesie Górne played a much better game than Costa Rica and deserved their victory. The Costa Rica players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
