Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Roman Gdaniec started the match with the kick off. After 4 minutes of play, Girona FC's Roman Gdaniec made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thiago Pliego was left in no man's land by his defense there! Girona FC's Berkay Yetiş got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Cristiano Aveiro in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristiano Aveiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Thiago Pliego came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Girona FC's Roman Gdaniec. But to his dismay, Roman Gdaniec quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 20 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Roman Gdaniec came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mariano Lacasa took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cristiano Aveiro. Cristiano Aveiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The supporters of Girona FC booed when Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Manzanedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Girona FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Cristiano Aveiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristiano Aveiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 31st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Cristiano Aveiro in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Girona FC's Cristiano Aveiro got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Mariano Lacasa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cristiano Aveiro. That made the score 2-2 in the 39 minute of play. After 47 played minutes Chile got a freekick which was hit by Jose Manzanedo. In the 48th minute, Jose Manzanedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mariano Lacasa made a kick off. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Palau in the 62nd minute of play. A hard shot 64 in the game by Berkay Yetiş from a close distance when the talented Thiago Pliego managed to make a qualified save. Chile's players were relieved. In the 68th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Aveiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 72 minutes into the game, when Gerardo Pozo put in a rough tackle. Girona FC made a substitution. Alfonso De Pedro replaced Berkay Yetiş. In the 72nd minute, one of Chile:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Chile. Thiago Pliego went to the wrong direction when David Palau was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Chile's Alan Tamayo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Joaquim Lustosa in the 77 minute of the game. In the 79th minute, David Palau reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Thiago Pliego. The goal made the score 2-4. 87 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Cristo Quintero came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 89 played minutes Chile got a freekick which was hit by Jose Manzanedo. Girona FC made a substitution. Kepa Molina replaced Joaquim Lustosa. After a rather tough play, Chile's Jose Manzanedo got a free kick in the 90th minute. 92 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when David Palau came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 93 minutes Chile's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Iván Salgado who took care of the corner kick. Cristiano Aveiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlando Casaus in the 98th minute of the match.
