Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) 2 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Nelson Mendoza came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. João Massa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tomas Illescas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 10 minute of play. In the 13th minute, Rigoberto Mina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 15 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Mina. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nelson Mendoza in the 20th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mugur Nisipeanu in the 21st minute of play. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Massa having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nelson Mendoza in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. When Gigel Seremet came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the UFC STEAUA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gigel Seremet couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gigel Seremet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 35 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Nelson Mendoza came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 55th minute. Mugur Basarabescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Xu Yue Yuan made in the 62nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Şamil Darcan however managed to control. 68 minutes into the game, Nelson Mendoza lined in a short shot 2-2 behind a frustrated Jonathan Ferrant. 74 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Nelson Mendoza came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in UFC STEAUA's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Massa came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. UFC STEAUA's João Massa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 80th minute of play. Nelson Mendoza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Mugur Nisipeanu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 2-3 in the 81 minute of play. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nelson Mendoza in the 85th minute of play. Rigoberto Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. After 88 played minutes, UFC STEAUA's Mugur Basarabescu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in UFC STEAUA reached it. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. João Massa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Massa having to interfere. João Massa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. UFC STEAUA's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
