The Dynamite fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matvey Epanchin should have stopped the shot. Evgeniy Kobeko ran back to his position shaking his head. Eliseo Mina struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Matvey Epanchin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. Rafael Gallo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 96thth minute tested the skills of Matvey Epanchin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The Dynamite fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Peru were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
