Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Paul Meyer started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute Claude Helssen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 8 played minutes Caseys Dreamteam 2 got a freekick which was hit by Freek Wolf. 16 minutes into the game, Hugo Ferrant was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caseys Dreamteam 2 the free kick. After a rather tough play, Caseys Dreamteam 2's Ben Luikens got a free kick in the 21st minute. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alan Moruga got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Efrain Moruga hit a great ball. Evert Vennegoor charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Evert Vennegoor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 35th minute, Evert Vennegoor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 37 minutes, Eliseo Noboa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseo Noboa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paul Meyer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Hugo Ferrant got a free kick in the 40th minute. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paul Meyer in the 43rd minute of play. Claude Helssen hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Elmar Steelman kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. In the 48th minute of the match Axel Tasis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ed Wilhelm skillfully saved the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Axel Tasis to make the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Caseys Dreamteam 2 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claude Helssen to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Hugo Ferrant got a free kick in the 53rd minute. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Paul Meyer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. Alexander Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Caseys Dreamteam 2's Elmar Steelman couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 59th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Costa Rica. Paul Meyer scored 2-0 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Caseys Dreamteam 2's Ed Wilhelm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 69th minute of play. If Charles McQuarrie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 81 minutes into the game, Caseys Dreamteam 2's Paul Meyer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. The supporters of Caseys Dreamteam 2 booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Efrain Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paul Meyer in the 87th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Juan Rubio hit a great ball. 95 minutes into the game, Jeremy Paulin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Caseys Dreamteam 2 fully deserved thier win.
