After 10 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Navarro. 11 minutes into the game, Fastnet's Per-Olof Tunström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lautaro Navarro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. With a little luck, Fastnet's Sören Klintæus got control of the ball when Edmundo Espiga tried to sneak it across the goal line. With 23 minutes on the clock, Esteban Carvallo commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 22 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Honduras! The supporters of Honduras booed when Fastnet was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leif Njurenius didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anthon Finnman in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lautaro Navarro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 43rd minute, Sebastian Villa fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Sören Klintæus, passed just outside the right post. 46 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Anthon Finnman came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Fastnet were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Per-Olof Tunström was the one to do the kick off. Jonathan Eliasson charged in rather forcefully in the 50th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonathan Eliasson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sören Klintæus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Espinar in the 70th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Fastnet's zone, Sebastian Villa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sören Klintæus came out of the goal and Sebastian Villa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 74 minutes into the game, Edmundo Espiga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Honduras's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fastnet the free kick. Edmundo Espiga hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moises Tafalla in the 79th minute of play forced Fastnet's goalkeeper Sören Klintæus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
