Xie Bang Ang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Colombia were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after ARedonditos de Ricota CFK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Axel Montenegro took the corner. The corner led Colombia's Abram Sarmiento to fire away a dangerous shot which Xie Bang Ang despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Pedro Manzanares made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Florentino Berasko sent off a good shot on target. A sloppy throw-in by Rolando Haimar in the 33rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Colombia's Kevin Mastache. Axel Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Florentino Berasko to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Emilio Gonzales put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Guaberto Matro went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-3 was the resulting score. In the 94th minute, Abram Secada left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Colombia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-4. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
