The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Azam Sum showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. When Tomas Illescas fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Tomas Illescas a yellow card for diving instead. Tomas Illescas hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. The supporters of Moodys IF booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Chicote didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute Venezuela were awarded a corner. Tomas Illescas went to the cornerflag to take it. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Azam Sum in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A collision led to Moodys IF getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Kjell-Arne Åberg hit a great ball. 24 minutes into the match, Andreas Carlberg notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 28 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Johannes Tidén came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 28 in the game by Kjell-Arne Åberg from a close distance when the talented Jonathan Ferrant managed to make a qualified save. Venezuela's players were relieved. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kjell-Arne Åberg got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alex Chicote during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 31st match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Chicote to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Andreas Carlberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Andreas Carlberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kjell-Arne Åberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Moodys IF booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johannes Tidén in the 43rd minute of the match. Kjell-Arne Åberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Jonathan Ferrant was a little too slow when Barnabás Selymes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Kjell-Arne Åberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. The supporters of Moodys IF booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute Kjell-Arne Åberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Kjell-Arne Åberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kjell-Arne Åberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Kjell-Arne Åberg scored 5-0 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Azam Sum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kjell-Arne Åberg in the 71st minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guillermo Mariano kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Patricio Costa might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Azam Sum. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Patricio Costa ran back to his position shaking his head. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johannes Tidén in the 83rd minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kjell-Arne Åberg in the 85th minute of the match. After 86 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. Tomas Illescas succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 5-1 in the 95th playminute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Moodys IF fully deserved thier win.
