Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. 24 minutes into the match, Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Odo Uedickoven. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Großberghofen's Rufus Bangert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 25th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Edwin Eberl had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edwin Eberl was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Rufus Bangert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santino Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abram Sarmiento in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rufus Bangert prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 48 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Edwin Eberl came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abram Sarmiento to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Sven Appenzeller left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Großberghofen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. In the 78th minute Luis Cazalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rufus Bangert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Antonio Indiano got a free kick in the 79th minute. Rufus Bangert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santino Seco in the 92nd minute of the match. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Irmin Michalsky, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute.
