Guillermo Mariano hit a great ball. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Yolo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dariusz Moryl didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yolo's Wieslaw Dec proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Yolo from getting a goal against them. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dariusz Moryl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the match, Yolo's goalkeeper Wieslaw Dec had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wawrzyniec Kissel in the 36th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wawrzyniec Kissel to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Maarten De Malier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Maarten De Malier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Wieslaw Dec didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Dariusz Moryl managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yolo's supporters rose to their feet, but Dariusz Moryl was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 63 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Wieslaw Dec was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 67 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. In the 69th minute, Wawrzyniec Kissel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The supporters of Yolo booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 82nd minute. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, André Silva kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Wieslaw Dec tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Yolo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Yolo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
