If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Asım Suat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Camilo Gaos's late challenge caught a Ozon Fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Camilo Gaos helped the player get up and apologised. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beat Buckmann in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The wind increased when Asım Suat made the kick off in the second half. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zumar Goyanes in the 52nd minute of play. Edvin Skålberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 56 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ozon Fc's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sufi Akdemir hit a great ball. Edvin Skålberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 62nd minute. Beat Buckmann hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patricio Costa struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Edvin Skålberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Sufi Akdemir charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The audience was convinced that Asım Suat's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
