Alex Chicote made in the 13th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Red Devils's Mesut Zidane. 14 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Zsombor Karsai came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Fabien Van Daelen sent off a good shot on target. Red Devils's Mesut Zidane managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Salvador Gisbert in the 21 minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zsombor Karsai got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zsombor Karsai recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zsombor Karsai in the 27th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claude Bermudez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 40th minute, Zsombor Karsai left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Red Devils fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zsombor Karsai to make the kick off. If Fabien Van Daelen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 59 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Zsombor Karsai came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 61 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Roland Nagy was slow to take the kick. During this time Red Devils's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Roland Nagy got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Ferrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Fabien Van Daelen hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. If Zsombor Karsai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Red Devils's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claude Bermudez came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Red Devils booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Red Devils's Roland Nagy couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 70th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Venezuela. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zsombor Karsai in the 74th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Zsombor Karsai ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Red Devils's attentive Mesut Zidane managed to snatch the ball when Salvador Gisbert made a throw-in in the 81st minute of the game. A collision led to Red Devils getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Mesut Zidane hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zsombor Karsai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 87 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. Zsombor Karsai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabien Van Daelen, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Claude Bermudez made a huge save. 94 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Zsombor Karsai came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Red Devils's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
