Bulut İrgun who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Ricardo Zorita when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ricardo Zorita was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Asrın Yaygır showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 41 minute of play. Bulut İrgun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Ricardo Zorita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alkan İldeniz in the 48th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Moises Fernandino made a kick off. If Moises Fernandino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 57 minutes into the match, BEŞİKTAŞK's goalkeeper Mehmet Ali Tongal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Moises Fernandino. Ricardo Zorita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Asrın Yaygır, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. El Salvador's attentive Valentino Ferrant managed to snatch the ball when Alpertunga Cevar made a throw-in in the 94th minute of the game. El Salvador's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
