Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Martin Mutumba started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Vykans Vikingar's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Zorita came free, but Marcus Ekrot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th minute Luca Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Ekrot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus Ekrot having to interfere. In the 11th minute, Vykans Vikingar's Eric Van Lint dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 15 minutes into the match, Vykans Vikingar's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Marcus Ekrot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute of the match, Abdi Revis tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dante Lacasa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdi Revis in the 20th minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Marcus Ekrot didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. After a rather tough play, Vykans Vikingar's Börje Stål got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Marcus Ekrot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Börje Stål kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 39th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Ekrot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus Ekrot having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marcus Ekrot. Marcus Ekrot yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Joel Gaona took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Marcus Ekrot to make any attempt to save it. Vykans Vikingar made a substitution. Leonardo Trancoso replaced Eric Van Lint. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonardo Trancoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Marcus Ekrot threw himself towards the right post 66 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Marcus Ekrot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 69th minute, Facundo Cadaval ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcus Ekrot was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Marcus Ekrot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 75th minute of play. With a little luck, Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vykans Vikingar made a substitution. Bengt-Arne Haglund replaced Martin Mutumba. In the 94th minute, Luca Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdi Revis in the 96th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mexico's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
