Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Teobaldo Ubarna ran back to his position shaking his head. 9 minutes into the match, El Renacer del Quijano FC's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Tomas Snow reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teobaldo Ubarna came free with the goalkeeper in the 11th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Rolando Noboa could save by the left post. El Renacer del Quijano FC's Tomas Snow played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 14th minute of play. Teobaldo Ubarna's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Rolando Noboa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Tomas Snow took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 25 minutes, Teobaldo Ubarna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Renacer del Quijano FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teobaldo Ubarna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teobaldo Ubarna in the 27th minute. The supporters of El Renacer del Quijano FC booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anthony Alvarado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rolando Noboa acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 31st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Peneios Protopsaltis. Lucas Cresconio made in the 35th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Tomas Snow made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 36th minute of play. After 37 minutes, Julian Murillo made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. El Renacer del Quijano FC's Tomas Snow tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 46 minutes into the game, Peru's Eliseo Mina nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tomas Snow made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Julian Murillo to make the kick off. With a little luck, El Renacer del Quijano FC's Tomas Snow got control of the ball when Luz Tejedor tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Teobaldo Ubarna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. El Renacer del Quijano FC's Teobaldo Ubarna got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Tomas Snow in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teobaldo Ubarna in the 65th minute of play. Luz Tejedor received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tomas Snow came out and tried to block the shot, but Luz Tejedor slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 75th minute. El Renacer del Quijano FC's Maximo Distiratsu was substituted for Nunez Maurin. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximo Distiratsu in the 80th minute of play. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Tomas Snow made a huge save. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eliseo Mina in the 92nd minute. When the match was over Peru could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than El Renacer del Quijano FC throughout the match.
