The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Karlus Waugh struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Taha Akyol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jarell Hill, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. If Peter-Jan Weba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Karlus Waugh took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Taha Akyol. Taha Akyol dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 21st minute Romon Oliver shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Taha Akyol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin's Richy Van Aertvin got a free kick in the 21st minute. Jarell Hill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Taha Akyol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kordal Duff kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Jamaica's Wayan Freeman got a free kick in the 30th minute. After a rather tough play, Jamaica's Jamaall Padmore got a free kick in the 36th minute. Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin's Taha Akyol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karlus Waugh in the 43rd minute of play. If Natan Coekx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute Finlay Stair shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Taha Akyol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 51st match minute, Jamaica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romon Oliver to maneuver through the defense. Leron Sale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Taha Akyol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Finlay Stair, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Romon Oliver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Taha Akyol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Finlay Stair, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 66th minute, David Smedts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 71 played minutes Jamaica got a freekick which was hit by Wayan Freeman. In the 72nd minute, Lucien Huijghens sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Jamaica's Demonde Jacobson didn't even have to move. The supporters of Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin booed when Jamaica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romon Oliver didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Jamaica getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Karlus Waugh hit a great ball. After 81 played minutes Jamaica got a freekick which was hit by Romon Oliver. After 82 played minutes, Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin's Lucien Huijghens shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Demonde Jacobson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin reached it. Romon Oliver kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Finlay Stair might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Taha Akyol. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Finlay Stair ran back to his position shaking his head. Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin's Taha Akyol proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin from getting a goal against them. Jarell Hill recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. David Smedts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Jamaica players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
