USA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cassius Byrne in the 3rd minute. The corner led to USA's Jacob May getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Malmö White Knights's Johnny Banks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cassius Byrne in the 9th minute of play. USA's Marco Day proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save USA from getting a goal against them. In the 19th minute Roby Baggio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monty Rogers in the 30th minute of play forced Malmö White Knights's goalkeeper Johnny Banks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edward Mcdonald fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnny Banks having to interfere. USA's defense didn't have a chance, in the 39th minute, when Elvijs Presley scored to the left of an out of position Marco Day, making the score, 1-0. After a rather tough play, USA's Raphael Moore got a free kick in the 46th minute. Elvijs Presley took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marco Day. Marco Day dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Roby Baggio to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Elvijs Presley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Malmö White Knights's goalkeeper Johnny Banks had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cassius Byrne. In the 58th minute, Roby Baggio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Malmö White Knights fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Edward Mcdonald might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Johnny Banks. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edward Mcdonald ran back to his position shaking his head. Johnny Banks showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Mcdonald, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. 64 minutes had been played when some careless play by Malmö White Knights's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cassius Byrne was slow to take the kick. During this time USA's players had a chance to rest. Cassius Byrne made a great header on USA's corner, it was just that Malmö White Knights's Johnny Banks managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elvijs Presley in the 70th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute, Elvijs Presley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. USA made a substitution. Marco Baker replaced Edward Mcdonald. Malmö White Knights's Johnny Banks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Khalid Parry in the 87th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elvijs Presley in the 89th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elvijs Presley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. USA's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Malmö White Knights had won, even though USA had held more of the ball.
