An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Puig in the 86th minute of play forced Yolo's goalkeeper Wieslaw Dec to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juan Rubio's late challenge caught a Yolo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juan Rubio helped the player get up and apologised. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. After 94 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Moruga. The attack was good, but when Wawrzyniec Kissel in the 95th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Yolo played a much better game than Costa Rica and deserved their victory. The Costa Rica players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
