Panama's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Truseni the free kick. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Felipe Ros hit a great ball. 36 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Radu Briceag came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Berganza to maneuver through the defense. After 40 played minutes, FC Truseni's Dorin Dobã shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Truseni reached it. FC Truseni's Teodor Cornea got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonid Nazaria in the 45th minute of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Berganza to make the kick off. Isidoro Sarmiento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to FC Truseni getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Teodor Cornea hit a great ball. Anibal Aritza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 59th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Abraham Alguacil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Abraham Alguacil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anibal Aritza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Isidoro Sarmiento came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isidoro Sarmiento couldn't finish the play. FC Truseni made a substitution. Sandu Perju replaced Tudor Buga. In the 76th minute, Vadim Speianu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
