Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daniel Zorita kicked off to start the match. When Telmo Teves, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 4 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Julio Vera was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cassiano Mendonça was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. 13 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Cassiano Mendonça was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 17 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Cassiano Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind GD Fiães's goalkeeper Cassiano Mendonça, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 24th minute, Rubim Falcão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Telmo Teves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cassiano Mendonça quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tobias Brites in the 33rd minute of play. After 36 minutes, Rubim Falcão mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GD Fiães and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Cassiano Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 40 minutes, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 42nd minute, Tobias Brites left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GD Fiães fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 48th minute of the match Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cassiano Mendonça showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Tobias Brites made the kick off in the second half. Cassiano Mendonça took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Telmo Teves in the 54th minute of the match. Telmo Teves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Telmo Teves in the 66th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Telmo Teves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes into the match, GD Fiães's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Cassiano Mendonça reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute Tobias Brites shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cassiano Mendonça was a little too slow when Felix Montenegro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 76th minute. The score was now 1-2. A collision led to GD Fiães getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Álvaro Campelo hit a great ball. After 83 played minutes GD Fiães got a freekick which was hit by Álvaro Campelo. In the 86th match minute, GD Fiães was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amável Quental to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tobias Brites, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. The GD Fiães fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
