Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Said, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hüseyin Rahmi Avcu in the 36th minute of play. With a little luck, Filfla United's Etienne Blanco got control of the ball when Maximiliano Escribano tried to sneak it across the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and John Said made a kick off. Etienne Blanco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximiliano Escribano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Filfla United's supporters rose to their feet, but Hüseyin Rahmi Avcu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Gayoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Camilo Covarrubias kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. After 91st play minutes John Said shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Joaquin Gayoso and just under the crossbar into goal. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dragoş Afloarei, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute.
