The Trifillia.FC fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when Trifillia.FC's Christoforos Zografos looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomas Berganza during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 18 minutes into the match, Jassem Al Khars had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jassem Al Khars was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Panama were awarded a corner in the 45th minute after Trifillia.FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Abraham Alguacil took the corner. Miguel Miralles hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikos Kakavetsis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ponciano De Pedro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abraham Alguacil in the 53rd minute of the match. If Christoforos Zografos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. Marcos Cotilla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Jassem Al Khars could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Marcos Cotilla made a huge save. Trifillia.FC's Ponciano De Pedro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 60th minute of play. With his leg Marcos Cotilla managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when Trifillia.FC's Jassem Al Khars fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jassem Al Khars who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Marcos Cotilla when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The nice shot from Jassem Al Khars in the 64thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Marcos Cotilla had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Feliciano Su's late challenge caught a Panama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Feliciano Su helped the player get up and apologised. Abraham Alguacil made a great header on Panama's corner, it was just that Trifillia.FC's Ponciano De Pedro managed to reach the ball for a save. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christoforos Zografos, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nikos Kakavetsis in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcos Cotilla prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ponciano De Pedro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 77th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the game, Trifillia.FC's Nikos Kakavetsis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 90th minute, Dylan Sarmiento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mehmet Bilge Bartu, 91 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The Trifillia.FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Trifillia.FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
