The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 70th minute of the game. One of Apatit Kirovsk FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Panama:s goal. In the 71st minute there was a penalty for Panama. Abraham Alguacil stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Igor Brattsov. 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abraham Alguacil during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Apatit Kirovsk FC booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abraham Alguacil didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute, Semen Rodionov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. But to his dismay, Abraham Alguacil quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Semen Rodionov in the 94th minute of play. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Kikoin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 98 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Ros. When the final whistle sounded Panama left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Apatit Kirovsk FC.
