Spectators: 52 (Terracing: 39, Seating: 12, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. It was Victorino Balondo who took care of the corner kick. 8 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicholas Macasa. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 13th minute of play forced Kyoto Sanga F.C.'s goalkeeper Bayan Bonzon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bayan Bonzon was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. In the 38th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Clarence Pumaren in the 45th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 51st minute Archie Balabagan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clarence Pumaren, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Bayan Bonzon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 57th minute of play. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bayan Bonzon having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Archie Balabagan, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clarence Pumaren in the 75th minute of play. After 76 played minutes Kyoto Sanga F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Henriqua Tucay. In the 77th minute, Patricio Costa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 81 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Archie Balabagan came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bayan Bonzon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 84 minutes of play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bayan Bonzon was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicholas Macasa in the 87th minute of the match. Venezuela's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
