After a defensive mix-up in CHEMSY's zone, Alfonso de la Cruz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wit Brzeszczak came out of the goal and Alfonso de la Cruz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 31 minutes into the game, Bolivia's Eduardo Fontirroig nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wit Brzeszczak made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Mario Fernandino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Wit Brzeszczak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Camilo Freixa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tolek Prus, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 46th match minute, CHEMSY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Radoslaw Kaszubik to maneuver through the defense. Alfredo Ferrant blasted a shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wit Brzeszczak having to make a save. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After some careless play in the Bolivia defense, Borys Tomaka kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Camilo Freixa. The Bolivia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Camilo Freixa should have stopped the shot. Benito Madrid hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Borys Tomaka in the 69th minute of play forced Bolivia's goalkeeper Camilo Freixa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ismael Tejedor kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. 73 minutes into the game, Mario Fernandino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bolivia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CHEMSY the free kick. The supporters of CHEMSY booed when Bolivia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Wielgopolski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Freixa having to interfere. After a rather tough play, CHEMSY's Tolek Prus got a free kick in the 90th minute. 97 minutes into the game, CHEMSY's Radoslaw Kaszubik nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Camilo Freixa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. CHEMSY's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
