Spectators: 49 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Tiberiu Caramarin started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 5 minutes into the match, MIT's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Calistrat Madgearu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 10 minutes, Nicodim Orășan made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Peru's Rolando Noboa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 13 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Nicodim Orășan came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiberiu Caramarin in the 13th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Milagros Fraga's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Calistrat Madgearu firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 18th minute of play forced MIT's goalkeeper Calistrat Madgearu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peru's Milagros Fraga got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eliseo Mina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Calistrat Madgearu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peru's attentive Anthony Alvarado managed to snatch the ball when Ivan Vâtcă made a throw-in in the 34th minute of the game. Julian Murillos short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Calistrat Madgearu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Calistrat Madgearu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ivan Vâtcă made in the 41st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julian Murillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of MIT booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moises Gayoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of MIT's Calistrat Madgearu. Calistrat Madgearu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 62 played minutes MIT got a freekick which was hit by Dorin Banu. 63 minutes into the match, MIT's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Calistrat Madgearu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Calistrat Madgearu came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Julian Murillo. But to his dismay, Julian Murillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. MIT made a substitution. Bogdan Bucataru replaced Mihăiţă Ilarie. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 75th minute of the game. One of Peru:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of MIT:s goal. Romeo Gherghescu placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Julian Murillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Calistrat Madgearu having to interfere. Calistrat Madgearu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Mina in the 81st minute of play. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicodim Orășan in the 82nd minute. A collision led to MIT getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Dinu Grigoroiu hit a great ball. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Dinu Grigoroiu hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. Rafael Gallo was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
