The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Club Vertigo were furious when Costică Dindelegan was red carded, 4 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Sebastian Villa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Narcis Popoiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valentín Carvallo got a throw-in 38 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Christian Sancho. Edmundo Espiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Narcis Popoiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 42nd minute of play. Pompiliu Marchiș kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Moises Tafalla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 46 minutes, Edmundo Espiga made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Club Vertigo's Narcis Popoiu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edmundo Espiga made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Villa in the 52nd minute of play forced Club Vertigo's goalkeeper Narcis Popoiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emanuel Ocampo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Narcis Popoiu having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Edmundo Espiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Narcis Popoiu was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. 3-0 became the score in the 59th minute when Sebastian Villa elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Narcis Popoiu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. In the 71st minute, Sebastian Villa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Narcis Popoiu was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Narcis Popoiu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Narcis Popoiu saved Club Vertigo from getting behind. In the 79th minute of the game Ivan Navarro made a throw-in which Sebastian Villa played forward. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Narcis Popoiu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 82ndth minute of the game Edmundo Espiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Vertigo's Narcis Popoiu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 86th minute of play forced Club Vertigo's goalkeeper Narcis Popoiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 96 minutes, Edmundo Espiga made it 7-0 with a short kick to the right side. Club Vertigo's Narcis Popoiu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee ended the match the Honduras players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
