But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Archie Balabagan couldn't finish the play. Through an outstanding action, after 8 minutes, Bayan Bonzon successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Clarence Pumaren in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bruno Barrett saved Curacao from getting behind. In the 11th match minute, Curacao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Troy Kennedy to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute of the match Victorino Balondo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bruno Barrett showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 13 minutes, Clarence Pumaren made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Curacao's Bruno Barrett tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 20 minutes into the match, Archie Balabagan notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Curacao's Bruno Barrett. Bruno Barrett was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 23 minutes into the game, Kyoto Sanga F.C.'s Clarence Pumaren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bruno Barrett made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Bruno Barrett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clarence Pumaren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 27 minutes of play, Kyoto Sanga F.C.'s Nicholas Macasa made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bruno Barrett was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 34 minutes of play, Kyoto Sanga F.C.'s Archie Balabagan made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bruno Barrett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilbur Joson in the 37th minute of play. 38 minutes into the game, Kyoto Sanga F.C.'s Clarence Pumaren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Clarence Pumaren in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bruno Barrett prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clarence Pumaren in the 46th minute of play forced Curacao's goalkeeper Bruno Barrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 48 minutes into the match, Archie Balabagan notched a goal, 0-9, to the right of Curacao's Bruno Barrett. Bruno Barrett was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half Kyoto Sanga F.C. were leading 0-9. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Clarence Pumaren was the one to do the kick off. Bruno Barrett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romel Limbo in the 54th minute of play. If Romel Limbo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bruno Barrett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Archie Balabagan in the 58th minute of play. Aurelius Latap fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Barrett having to interfere. After 64 played minutes Curacao got a freekick which was hit by Stanley Wallace. With a little luck, Curacao's Bruno Barrett got control of the ball when Clarence Pumaren tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bruno Barrett stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Clarence Pumaren's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. In the 69th minute Archie Balabagan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Barrett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 75 minutes of play, Kyoto Sanga F.C.'s Clarence Pumaren made it 0-11 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bruno Barrett was left in no man's land by his defense there! With his leg Bruno Barrett managed to avoid a goal in the 79thth minute, when Kyoto Sanga F.C.'s Clarence Pumaren fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 80th minute, Nicholas Macasa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bruno Barrett was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-12. Curacao's Bruno Barrett proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Curacao from getting a goal against them. Clarence Pumaren's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 86thth minute, Bruno Barrett skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Henriqua Tucay kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the match, Curacao's goal looked a bit too open when Clarence Pumaren came free, but Bruno Barrett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lloyd Santiago in the 90th minute of play forced Curacao's goalkeeper Bruno Barrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bruno Barrett made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Nicholas Macasa sent off a good shot on target. In the 94th minute, Archie Balabagan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bruno Barrett. The goal made the score 0-13. When Kyoto Sanga F.C.'s Clarence Pumaren in the 98th minute got a chance for a shot 98th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Curacao's goalie prevented a goal. After 98th play minutes Clarence Pumaren shot 0-14, a short shot which went by Bruno Barrett and just under the crossbar into goal. Kyoto Sanga F.C.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
