Simon Bergsten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 11th minute. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Project X was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tim Holmgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rio Newton might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rio Newton ran back to his position shaking his head. 28 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Simon Bergsten was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Simon Bergsten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Knopek in the 32nd minute of the match. Jerzy Piechna kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Project X's Simon Bergsten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 43rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 44th minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Knopek in the 46th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jerzy Piechna stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Simon Bergsten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 58th minute of play. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ingvar Malmberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Project X booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Venegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Venezuela were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Project X's much stronger midfield.
