A collision led to -BZF- Barca de Buzau getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Calistrat Bara hit a great ball. 7 minutes into the match, Valeriu Băcioiu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jacobo Nores. Paraguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valeriu Băcioiu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 10 minutes into the match, -BZF- Barca de Buzau's goalkeeper Felix Vorniceanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jaime Pardo. -BZF- Barca de Buzau's attentive Emanuel Hristea managed to snatch the ball when Alan Campos made a throw-in in the 12th minute of the game. Emanuel Hristea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Felix Vorniceanu managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. -BZF- Barca de Buzau's Felix Vorniceanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save -BZF- Barca de Buzau from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Pardo in the 21st minute of play forced -BZF- Barca de Buzau's goalkeeper Felix Vorniceanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A throw-in in the 47th minute of the game was made by Jose Sanz with Primitivo Escribano as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jaime Pardo made a kick off. In the 51st minute Jaime Pardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felix Vorniceanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 52 minutes into the match, -BZF- Barca de Buzau's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Pardo came free, but Felix Vorniceanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st minute, Eduard Nechifor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 63 minutes of play, Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Felix Vorniceanu was left in no man's land by his defense there! 66 minutes into the match, -BZF- Barca de Buzau's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Pardo came free, but Felix Vorniceanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
