Ersen Cakir was slow to take the kick. During this time 1903 Barranspor ☪'s players had a chance to rest. Korcan Geçer made a great header on 1903 Barranspor ☪'s corner, it was just that USA's Marco Day managed to reach the ball for a save. Cassius Byrne scored 1-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sacit Budak, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sacit Budak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassius Byrne in the 21st minute of play. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wout Weghorst in the 23rd minute of the match. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wout Weghorst, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Wout Weghorst notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of USA's Marco Day. Marco Day was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, 1903 Barranspor ☪'s Edinho Cerezo got a free kick in the 36th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cassius Byrne was the one to do the kick off. Wout Weghorst's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marco Day read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Wout Weghorst managed to get in a good position for a shot. 1903 Barranspor ☪'s supporters rose to their feet, but Wout Weghorst was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marco Day breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 1903 Barranspor ☪'s Mürsel Eğriöz was substituted for Tuğrul Yesari. In the 62nd minute USA were awarded a corner. Cassius Byrne went to the cornerflag to take it. USA's Jacob May was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sacit Budak in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a little luck, USA's Marco Day got control of the ball when Ertuğrul Gazi tried to sneak it across the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, 1903 Barranspor ☪'s goal looked a bit too open when Cassius Byrne came free, but Sacit Budak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edward Mcdonald kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. USA made a substitution. Sam Campbell replaced Cassius Byrne. Ertuğrul Gazi ran back to his position shaking his head. With an all-out effort, 1903 Barranspor ☪'s Marco Day threw himself towards the right post 84 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ertuğrul Gazi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 87 minutes USA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ertuğrul Gazi who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of USA's goalie and right to Edinho Cerezo. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. USA's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Khalid Parry blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sacit Budak having to make a save. Marco Day made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ertuğrul Gazi in the 95th minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
