Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off. When Martyn Featherstone came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the The Youth Project fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martyn Featherstone couldn't finish the play. The supporters of The Youth Project booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Martyn Featherstone tried to sneak it across the goal line. Guillermo Mariano kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. A hard shot by Alfie Chivers from long distance, 10 minutes into the match, got Jonathan Ferrant's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Mattias Metcalfe sent off a good shot on target. Lucas Young took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Youth Project's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alfie Chivers in the 25th minute. The corner led The Youth Project's Martyn Featherstone to fire away a dangerous shot which Jonathan Ferrant despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Martyn Featherstone's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. In the 33rd minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. The Youth Project's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. Tomas Illescas made a great header on Venezuela's corner, it was just that The Youth Project's Lucas Young managed to reach the ball for a save. After 36 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Mariano. After 44 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Alex Chicote. Kristopher Sykes's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kristopher Sykes helped the player get up and apologised. Kristopher Sykes kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Martyn Featherstone to strike the kick off in the second half. Rowan Jepson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Alfie Chivers kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. 68 minutes into the match, The Youth Project's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Lucas Young reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 72 minutes into the game, Paddy Ackland cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to The Youth Project getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Kristopher Sykes hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in The Youth Project's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucas Young came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Patricio Costa might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lucas Young. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Patricio Costa ran back to his position shaking his head. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martyn Featherstone, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martyn Featherstone in the 96th minute of the match.
