Ludwig Jetzek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Ros in the 4th minute of play. After 4 played minutes A.S. Minerul Anina got a freekick which was hit by Sandro Vander. Ludwig Jetzek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Cambeiro in the 7th minute of the match. Dylan Sarmiento hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Ludwig Jetzek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abraham Alguacil, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 21st minute, Reinaldo Burkett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by A.S. Minerul Anina's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Abraham Alguacil was slow to take the kick. During this time Panama's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Panama's Abraham Alguacil to fire away a dangerous shot which Ludwig Jetzek despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 26 minutes of play, A.S. Minerul Anina's Forrest Sousa made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcos Cotilla was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Sandro Vander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute Abraham Alguacil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ludwig Jetzek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Abraham Alguacil had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ludwig Jetzek. A.S. Minerul Anina's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abraham Alguacil was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Forrest Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bart Smith got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Abraham Alguacil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Ludwig Jetzek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abraham Alguacil blasted a shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ludwig Jetzek having to make a save.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mattias Brandt to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Forrest Sousa came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandro Vander in the 64th minute of play. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sandro Vander in the 70th minute of the match. Ludwig Jetzek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. With 75 minutes on the clock, Aaron Barrios commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 74 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Panama! In the 77th minute there was a penalty for A.S. Minerul Anina. Napoleon Justice stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Marcos Cotilla. 2-1. In the 81st minute, Miguel Miralles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to A.S. Minerul Anina getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Bart Smith hit a great ball. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bart Smith, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by A.S. Minerul Anina's Bart Smith. But to his dismay, Bart Smith quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Ludwig Jetzek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Cambeiro in the 97th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. A.S. Minerul Anina had won after a very even match.
