An unexpectedly hard shot by Sten Melberg in the 8th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Di Röe's goal looked a bit too open when Cassius Byrne came free, but George Kristiansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cassius Byrne recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. George Kristiansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cassius Byrne, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Di Röe's Malte Hedström quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Raphael Moore, made in the 21st minute of the game. George Kristiansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassius Byrne in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jenson Smith in the 26th minute of play forced Di Röe's goalkeeper George Kristiansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raphael Moore made in the 27th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Di Röe's Herman Benett. Raphael Moore hit a great ball. The supporters of USA booed when Di Röe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bengt-Rune Berg didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sten Melberg made a kick off. A sloppy throw-in by Raphael Moore in the 50th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Di Röe's Leif Svanström. 53 minutes into the game, Raphael Moore threw the ball into play from the sideline. Di Röe's Herman Benett quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sten Melberg in the 59th minute of the match. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sten Melberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 68th minute Cassius Byrne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Kristiansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sten Melberg in the 70th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaldo da Fonseca came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 85th minute by Monty Rogers got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. USA made a substitution. Marco Baker replaced Edward Mcdonald. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Gerard Tan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Di Röe's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerard Tan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marco Day breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. George Kristiansson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sam Campbell in the 91st minute. Di Röe's George Kristiansson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Di Röe from getting a goal against them. Di Röe's George Kristiansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Baker in the 95th minute of play. Di Röe succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though USA had controlled the match.
