When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye HepsiAltYapı's goalie prevented a goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stig-Ove Sundén, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 21 minutes into the match, HepsiAltYapı's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Şafak Muhlis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Camilo Gaos kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. The supporters of Venezuela booed when HepsiAltYapı was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erhun Kudret didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig-Ove Sundén in the 30th minute of the match. Yahya Özaktuğ received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute, HepsiAltYapı's Stig-Ove Sundén dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye HepsiAltYapı's goalie prevented a goal. Guillermo Mariano was shown his second yellow card after 41 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 45th minute, Stig-Ove Sundén fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jonathan Ferrant, passed just outside the right post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Patricio Costa might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Şafak Muhlis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Patricio Costa ran back to his position shaking his head. Yahya Özaktuğ recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 58th minute. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yahya Özaktuğ, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Salvador Gisbert hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Yahya Özaktuğ managed to get in a good position for a shot. HepsiAltYapı's supporters rose to their feet, but Yahya Özaktuğ was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stig-Ove Sundén, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yahya Özaktuğ in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. After 83 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. Jonathan Venegas kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. In the 96thth minute of the game Yahya Özaktuğ who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
