Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Tineretul Arad's Felix Negrescu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Hector Covarrubias's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cazimir Maior was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. In the 6th minute Jaime Pardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cazimir Maior saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gerson Guimarães kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Cazimir Maior showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hector Covarrubias, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. After taking down the ball on Paraguay's corner Jaime Pardo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cazimir Maior quite easily take care of the ball. Jacobo Nores was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Emilian Blăniță showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 27th minute, Adam Rizea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Hector Covarrubias fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paraguay's protests and gave Hector Covarrubias a yellow card for diving instead. Hector Covarrubias kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Cazimir Maior came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias. But to his dismay, Hector Covarrubias quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Jaime Pardo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias got a free kick in the 38th minute. Paraguay's Ivan Prats managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Mugurel Gologan in the 45 minute of the game. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jaime Pardo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jaime Pardo struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Cazimir Maior didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paraguay. Paraguay's Jaime Pardo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Tineretul Arad. 54 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Negrescu came free, but Jacobo Nores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th minute, Hector Covarrubias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jaime Pardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paraguay's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jaime Pardo in the 64th minute. The corner led to Paraguay's Jaime Pardo getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Cazimir Maior made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Primitivo Escribano in the 68th minute of play. Tineretul Arad's Cazimir Maior proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Tineretul Arad from getting a goal against them. Primitivo Escribano might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cazimir Maior. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Primitivo Escribano ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Tineretul Arad getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Gerson Guimarães hit a great ball. Cazimir Maior made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Pardo in the 85th minute of play. 86 minutes into the game, Hector Covarrubias recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cazimir Maior. Hector Covarrubias showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Paraguay's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
