The supporters of Colombia booed when Araucampeón Retirado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiago Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute of the match Axel Montenegro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emiliano Manfredi skillfully saved the ball. Kevin Mastache sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Colombia's Axel Montenegro in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Araucampeón Retirado's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Axel Montenegro in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emiliano Manfredi saved Araucampeón Retirado from getting behind. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Emiliano Manfredi came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Colombia's Axel Montenegro. But to his dismay, Axel Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Emiliano Manfredi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Santino Seco went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Axel Montenegro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emiliano Manfredi was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Axel Montenegro took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emiliano Manfredi. Emiliano Manfredi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Halil Okaner made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Sotomayor Portas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, Colombia's Emiliano Manfredi threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Abram Sarmiento, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 55th minute of the match Colombia got a corner. Araucampeón Retirado's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Axel Montenegro ran over to the corner to take the kick. Emiliano Manfredi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin Mastache in the 58th minute of play. Halil Okaner's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Halil Okaner took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Halil Okaner in the 63rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Halil Okaner in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Manzanares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Joshua Garrido got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 76th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abram Secada to maneuver through the defense. If Halil Okaner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leandro Mazuste made in the 87th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Colombia's Joshua Garrido. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Kevin Mastache managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colombia's supporters rose to their feet, but Kevin Mastache was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emiliano Manfredi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Araucampeón Retirado fans cheered their team off the field, for while Colombia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
